Product Overview:
E11644h is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay)
Kit for analyzing the presence of the A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease 30 (Betatrophin) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of
the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Betatrophin. The ELISA analytical biochemical
technique of the E11644h kit is based on Betatrophin antibody-Betatrophin antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Betatrophin
antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Betatrophin. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids
and/or tissue homogenates,
secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Intra-Assay CV: ≤≤6.5%
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):Three samples of known concentration were tested in five separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
Inter-Assay CV: ≤≤9.2%
Recovery
Recovery was determined by spiking various levels of Betatrophin into serum and plasma.
Sample Type | Average(%) | Recovery Range(%) |
Serum | 101 | 95-107 |
Plasma | 103 | 97-109 |
Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of Betatrophin and their serial dilutions.
The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.
Sample | 1:2 | 1:4 | 1:8 | 1:16 |
serum(n=5) | 95-107% | 86-99% | 97-107% | 87-96% |
EDTA plasma(n=5) | 96-106% | 91-100% | 102-112% | 90-100% |
heparin plasma(n=5) | 92-102%
| 103-113% | 86-96% | 83-93% |
General Annotation
Sub Unit:
Interacts with ANGPTL3.
Function:
Hormone that specifically promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation and beta cell mass expansion, thereby improving glucose tolerance. Promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation without insulin resistance. Also acts as a blood lipid regulator by regulating serum triglyceride levels; possibly by promoting ANGPTL3 cleavage.
Subcellular Location:
Secreted

Betatrophin ELISA kit-Storage information
It is written in the operating instructions
that the reconstituted Standards and the detection reagents can be used
only once. Since I can remove the unused stripes that I don't need, will
I be able to store again these reagents for more distant use on the
remaining stripes?

Yes, the reconstituted Standards and the detection reagents can be used only once, so we kindly recommend that you could reconstitute Standards, the detection reagents or wash buffer according you actual need. Once these reagents were reconstituted, they couldn’t be stored to use. They could only be stored in their raw status.

TD-26 ELISA kit
Hi, Tech,
It is great to talk to you over the phone today. Could you please send me a copy of your kit instruction manual and your kit validation data (sensitivity, accuracy, sample linearity of dilution, reproducibility, normal serum/plasma sample concentrations, etc)?
Thanks!

E11644h
I have a question about the ELISA kit E11644h. Can I also use it to measure mouse betatrophin/Angptl8? Or is there an ELISA kit specific for mouse betatrophin/Angptl8 provided by your company?
Thanks,
Arionas.
