Product Overview:
E0506h is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease 30 (D-Dimer) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing D-Dimer. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the E0506h kit is based on D-Dimer antibody-D-Dimer antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect D-Dimer antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, D-Dimer. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Precision

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.

Intra-Assay CV: ≤5.1%

Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):Three samples of known concentration were tested in five separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.

Inter-Assay CV: ≤10.5%

Recovery
Recovery was determined by spiking various levels of D-Dimer into serum and plasma.

Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of D-Dimer and their serial dilutions. The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.

General Annotation

Sub Unit:
N/A

Function:
D-dimer concentration may be determined by a blood test to help diagnose thrombosis. Since its introduction in the 1990s, it has become an important test performed in patients suspected of thrombotic disorders. While a negative result practically rules out thrombosis, a positive result can indicate thrombosis but does not rule out other potential causes. Its main use, therefore, is to exclude thromboembolic disease where the probability is low. In addition, it is used in the diagnosis of the blood disorder disseminated intravascular coagulation.

Location:
D-dimer is a fibrin degradation product (or FDP), a small protein fragment present in the blood after a blood clot is degraded by fibrinolysis. It is so named because it contains two crosslinked D fragments of the fibrinogen protein.
