Product Overview:
E0577Ge is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease 30 (Cyclic guanosine monophosphate) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Cyclic guanosine monophosphate. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the E0577Ge kit is based on Cyclic guanosine monophosphate antibody-Cyclic guanosine monophosphate antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Cyclic guanosine monophosphate antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Cyclic guanosine monophosphate. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of Cyclic guanosine monophosphate and their serial dilutions. The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.

General Annotation

Sub Unit:
N/A

Function:
Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) is a cyclic nucleotide derived from guanosine triphosphate (GTP). cGMP acts as a second messenger much like cyclic AMP. Its most likely mechanism of action is activation of intracellular protein kinases in response to the binding of membrane-impermeable peptide hormones to the external cell surface.

Location:
Guanylate cyclase (GC) catalyzes cGMP synthesis. This enzyme converts GTP to cGMP. In turn, peptide hormones such as the atrial natriuretic factor activate membrane-bound GC, while soluble GC is typically activated by nitric oxide to stimulate cGMP synthesis.
